Pope Francis opens an instagram account and has more than a million followers the same week

Pope Francis uses twitter, YouTube and now he can be followed on Instagram. This week, Pope Francis announced on Twitter that he created an Instagram account.The Instagram account, @franciscus, has over 1.6M followers.

The pope captions his photos in multiple languages. His first post showed the pope praying with the caption "Pray for me." Pope Francis posted his first picture on intagram with the help of Kevin Systrom, the CEO and co-founder of Instagram. Systrom shared a post on Instagram documenting the experience.
